One of the things that works best for me is reading other blogs. I can always find something to write about, whether it is a new site a read about on another blog, or a post that I don’t agree with, etc.

Like the author says, it helps to get out there and be social.

I think blogs are awesome too which is why I have recently started my first ever blog . I am posting twice a week and at the moment and have not run out of things to write just yet. However there will be days when i might struggle and your idea of subscribing to similar blogs rss feeds is a great way of overcoming this issue.

It is interesting to me that so many smart people hit a brick wall when they are asked to (or decide to) write a few paragraphs. Writing doesn’t come naturally to a lot of people, so many blogs out there start with great intentions and then die off quickly.
I think you hit the nail on the head that you have to commit to writing a number of times a week. After you get into the habit of writing, it starts to flow more naturally.
It is irritating to find a blog or a website that obviously hasn’t been updated in months..or sometimes years!

Great post. It didn’t seem challenging, at first, to find things to write about. But as time goes on I find it really takes effort to find stuff worth posting about. I agree that posting about what you care about is important. I often take longer to figure out what to write about than it takes once I figure that out.

I think difficulty that is one reason so many blogs die after a month or two.

all great pieces of advice for bloggers. One thing to add is don’t write just to write – write to really say something. Don’t just fill space., if you want to keep readers coning back quality trumps quantity.
