I Heart WordPress

Welcome back!

I’ve been publishing online since 2003, and have experimented with just about every content management system and blog engine available. WordPress is not only the easiest to use, it has an incredible support community, and it is completely free. This is open source software nirvana. I’ve been playing with the WordPress 2.7 betas on my own system for the past few weeks, and have been excited aboout its release so that I could use it on my live sites. The development team has really outdone themselves with the new administrative layout. The new back-end is much easier to use, which is saying something because the previous releases were already pretty danged easy to work with.

Hats off to the WordPress team, and keep it up.

I agree.I have a self hosted Wordpress blog myself and have no complaints.I am very careful before upgrading to the latest version because some of the plugins might not work and it causes a lot of work.

I found wordpress about a year ago and I’ve been in love ever since. I use Joomla for some of my larger content sites, but I always try wordpress first to see if it can handle it. Great system!

No only do I use WordPress for blogs, but I also use it as a content management system for websites that don’t even have a blog. I do prefer Drupal for a big website, but you can’t beat WP for a small, informational site. A lot of people out there are hiring people who know how to use WordPress. It’s funny how blogging and HTML will really legitimately help people find jobs.

Be careful with duplicate content issue when you use content management system like wordpress. The script design will make your blog look similar from page to page. I believe this blog also trap in duplicate content..

I am very happy with Wordpress too. A lot of plugins available, everything very easy to setup, a lot of information available and great support. And most of them, as you said, it’s free.

Wordpress is rapidly becoming “the” default blogging platform as well. As the users grow, it will grow even bigger. It is truly wonderful.

The platform is really a trendsetter. The modular functionality is always talked about in development circles for all kinds of CMS’, including ecommerce. It’s really cool to see how far it’s come. Some awesome search plugins are available too.
